Select and research a founding father/mother and role-play as that individual during an online discussion. Please go to the Discussion Forum, “The Monocle” and introduce yourself as a founding father or mother and share information on your founder’s contributions to the founding of our nation with your classmates Discussion Activity 1: FOUNDING FATHER/MOTHER.

Some of the founders participated in many events like the American Revolution, declaring independence, and writing the U. S. Constitution so focus on two or three of their important contributions. In addition, you may provide some biographical information, and what you believe is most interesting about that individual. Each posted response must be two (2) paragraphs in length . Also, indicate your reference(s) at the end of your statement so your classmates know where you obtained your material.

The following are some examples of Founding Fathers : Thomas Jefferson/John Adams/Ben Franklin and the Declaration of Independence and the American Revolution, George Washington, Commander of the Continental Army and President of the Constitutional Convention, James Madison and the U. S. Constitution, Patrick Henry /Alexander Hamilton and the ratification of the U. S. Constitution, George Mason/James Madison and the Bill of Rights. Founding Mothers : Abigail Adams, Martha Washington, Debra Franklin, Mercy Otis Warren, and Esther Reed, etc. When you do your research make sure your founding father or mother lived in the 18th Century at our nation’s founding, e.g. 1776-1800 .
